Iron loss

▼Ultra-thin electromagnetic steel strip is an excellent material with low iron loss.
Iron loss refers to the electrical energy lost when magnetized by AC.
This is the combination of hysteresis loss when the magnetic domain changes direction and eddy current loss caused by the generation of eddy current.

Compared to conventional thick materials, ultra-thin electromagnetic steel strips generate less eddy current and achieve extremely low iron loss. This performance is particularly outstanding in the high frequency range, contributing to higher efficiency and energy savings in high frequency transformers and high frequency reactors.

Saturation Induction and Permeability

Ultra-thin electromagnetic steel strip is an excellent copper sheet with high induction and magnetic permeability.
Saturation induction is the induction of a magnetic material when it can no longer be magnetized (when magnetization is saturated) when magnetization is continued by applying an external magnetic force.

Magnetic permeability is an index that indicates the ease of magnetization, and is expressed as the slope μ of the relationship between the magnetic field strength H and the magnetic material's Induction B (B=μH) when a magnetic force is applied from the outside.

Ultra-thin electromagnetic steel strips have high saturation induction, which contributes to the miniaturization of high-frequency transformers and reactors. In addition, they have high magnetic permeability, making them excellent for use as shielding materials.

Grain-oriented ultra-thin electrical steel strips

Grain-oriented ultra-thin electrical steel strip GT series
Grain-oriented ultra-thin electromagnetic steel strips are steel sheets in which the direction in which iron crystals are easily magnetized (<001> direction) is aligned in the rolling direction of the steel sheet. They have the characteristic of being easily magnetized in the rolling direction.
It is mainly used in transformers, wound cores, etc.

Non-oriented ultra-thin electrical steel strips

Non-oriented ultra-thin electrical steel strip ST series
Non-oriented ultra-thin electrical steel strips are steel strips with random crystal orientations, and are used in applications where the magnetization direction cannot be limited to a specific direction.
It is applied to motors, etc.

Insulation coating

The insulating film formed on the surface of the steel strip prevents short circuits between layers when stacked, and suppresses the occurrence of localized eddy currents.
For this reason, excellent insulation and high strength are required to withstand destruction when laminated.
